Wii HD

There are currently a lot of rumours around the Internet that Nintendo will be releasing a High Definition (HD) Wii, these stem from the comments of an analyst for Wedbush Morgan called Michael Pachter, who said that Nintendo has already bucked the trends of the gaming market by releasing a much less powerful console than its rivals, which emphasises on gameplay not graphics and that they may go against the business again and release an updated Wii console in a few years time, instead of the typical lifespan of a console to meet consumer demand for high end graphics, as HD TV really gets big around the world, and the cost of chips get progressively cheaper.
Personally I think that Nintendo wont bother updating its console for a wii mk2 unless the wii starts to lose the console war, They have to be feeling pretty smug at the moment as before the wii’s launch Nintendo were going the way of Sega, but have now turned around their business and the games industry as a whole with the big guns Microsoft looking at motion sensing devices and Sony’s sixaxis controller with motion sensing built in, who would have thought that Nintendo would be leading the war 2 years ago.
