Who Is The New Doctor?

The BBC has finally announced David Tennant’s replacement as Doctor Who from 2010, and to be honest it’s now who we thought it was going to be.

The identity of the eleventh doctor was confirmed on BBC1 tonight on the Doctor Who confidential show, and he is 26 year old Matt Smith.

Smith has starred in TV adaptations of Philip Pullman’s “The Ruby In The Smoke” and “The Shadow In The North” but is best known for his stage work, during an interview with the show the new Doctor told of his struggle to keep his new role secret and also of his new found baggy eyes?

We can’t wait to see how he stacks up to the two previous Doctors when he hits screens in spring 2009.
