Halo 3 Beta

Well I’ve spent a lot of my recent 360 time playing the beta, and firstly…I suck at it. It’s not like I don’t try, because I really do, but I guess the other Beta players have been playing longer - brushing up their skills on Halo 2. The sad thing is that I really don’t care how lame I am at the game, I’m just hooked.

I have read a lot of reviews of the beta, saying how it doesn’t look much better than Halo 2 on the original Xbox, and to be fair I have to agree, but and there is a big but “WHO CARES??” The game has entertained me more recently than any other 360 Live game, I spend hours and hours just to get a few kills, in the off chance that a wild grenade will blow up my assassin as I fall to the ground. If the completed version of the game is in a similar form to the Beta, I for one will be happy to shell out my cash on a copy, Graphics do not make up for game play, most older gamers will sit there with a glazed look in their eye reminiscing about “Mr Do“, “Centipede” and more, the reason these games are amazing is because they had to be, if they were rubbish they wouldn’t sell….its a very different story now as the 1000th edition of Fifa gets brought out and goes straight to the head of the game charts because it looks nice.

I am now officially a Halo convert and I will never look back.
