Codemasters F1 Game Will Be A Sim
July 8, 2008
Since Codemaster’s snatched the license for Formula One from Sony, there has been some worries from fans that the game would be more an arcade racer and less a F1 sim.
However Codemaster’s confirmed today via their official forums that:
GRID and DiRT are aimed at an arcade audience and they do that very well. F1 has different requirements and will get a completely different treatment from our in-house team, including full on sim options, physics, rules and regs etc. We will also have arcade requirements catered for as well. How this will be split we do not know yet, but split it will be.
I personally prefer the 360 to the PS3, so I cant wait to get a decent F1 game on the system and Codemasters have a decent racing heritage, especially with Colin Mcrae Dirt and the recently released and brilliant Race Driver: Grid. - good news all round!!.
