Heroes Season 1 Pt 1 DVD Review

I have just finished watching the first part of season one of the acclaimed TV show Heroes, and I’ve got to say if this was a movie I would be impressed, let alone a TV show, the current crop of big budget US TV shows are really high class, and before watching Heroes I would say the Lost was the pinnacle of this, but no more, I have a new champion.

Heroes - for those of you who have been living in a box for the last year, is a show about a group of ordinary people who’s lives are changing in an extra ordinary way, developing amazing talents such as the cheerleader who can jump off a building, and get up unscathed, or the artist who can paint the future or the office worker who can manipulate time and teleport amazing places.

All of our “Heroes” are linked by their genetic code and a brilliant Indian scientist has managed to work out the code and was in the process of getting in touch with all of the special individuals to help and study them, unfortunately before he could do too much investigating one of his patients a man known as “Sylar” in the show kills him for his knowledge, and the powers of the others. As the story continues the “Heroes” are gradually drawn together, culminating in some amazing adventures.

Heroes grabs you and keeps you interested from start to finish, its surprising just how quick you can get through the episodes, even when its late at night you will find it difficult to tear yourself away and switch the DVD player off.
