The Dark Knight Video Game

Video game movie tie ins are pretty much a given, with most blockbusters scoring their own multi format games (usually before the movie hits general release), but you may have noticed that the Dark Knight hasn’t received a game version yet.
EA are rumoured to be publishing the game(s) whilst developer Pandemic is making the actual game, but nothing has been actually confirmed or shown, with actual EA insiders stating that various problems are holding the game back such as Heath Ledger’s death, missed deadlines and a poor quality product, none of which sound very promising.
The game is supposed to be set in a GTA style environment, with Batman able to use his grappling hook to scale buildings when not in his Batmobile, apparently the main problems with the game are down to a bad free roaming camera system, which makes fighting etc very difficult, and a very limited combat system which makes the game very repetitive.
The only plus point is that the game will be set post Dark Knight and will give us a totally different game to play with than the film, which could be interesting if they can sort out the other problems.
