Street Fighter: Legend Of Chun Li Not To Feature Ryu or Ken

The second attempt at making a decent version of Capcom’s fighting game for the big screen is well under way, with Kristen Kreuk of Smallville and Neutragena advert fame starring as Chun Li, and whilst she doesn’t look much like the gaming icon she is playing in the picture above, the makers of the film assure us that she will don the blue dress and the hair buns before the film is over. The Street Fighter video games franchise is coming up on its 20th anniversary (hard to believe right?) and to celebrate, Capcom – the games creator is planning a whole host of things, the main one for gaming fans is the imminent release of Street Fighter® IV in Japanese arcades this summer, but the company also has a new movie on the way, which will hopefully erase the memory of the god awful movie back in the 90′s which starred Jean Claude Van Damme and Kylie Minogue.
