Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is a brand new game being developed by Capcom, to fully utilise the Wii’s unique control system. The game takes part in various locations from the game franchise (0, 1 , 2 , 3), and some brand new places never before seen.
As the name depicts this new entry into the series, tells the story of the Umbrella Corporation’s downfall, and even lets you get inside the corporations stronghold (a location never before seen in any of the games).
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles combines first-person, light-gun style combat with interactive pathways, multiple weapons and new enemies to create an entirely new Resident Evil experience.

The first thing that struck me was the speed of the mob in the video, very much akin to the movies 28 days/weeks later, they move at frightening speed to try and dispatch Chris, and boy are they angry launching machetes’s, scythe’s and other paraphernalia at him. Read more

The latest installment of the Resident Evil franchise is on its way, but unfortunatly reports are flooding in that the game will be delayed towards the end of this year, and possibly as late as mid ’09.

In 1996, our Playstations were plagued by a horror beyond the human mind’s grasping. This horror was the first, the original, Resident Evil. Ten years, several sequels, and one mind-blowing remake later, this monstrosity has risen from beyond the depths of its grave to haunt our Nintendo DS’s in Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. What makes this game so horrific is really up to you: The multitude of relentless, warped creatures and blood-spattering cinematics, or the confusing, ill-presented plot and nasty voice-acting.
If you’re not familiar with Resident Evil’s basic plot, then shame on you. You bring dishonor to your family. Allow us to enlighten you in order to reverse this unbecoming ignorance of yours.
