Super Genintari
This rather large looking device is the amazing “Super Genintari”, which is essentially a 4 in 1 gaming machine, featuring you guessed it fully functioning versions of the Genesis (US Megadrive) Nintendo Nes, Super Nintendo and Atari 2600 consoles
The Super Genintari started its life back in 2002, and originally featured a Genesis, 32x and Snes, but after an accident which destroyed the 32x, the machine was re jigged to feature the smaller V3 Genesis board, which allowed just enough space to put a Nes inside and an Atari 2600.
The console features real versions of the original hardware internally, no emulation or super yobos etc were used in the manufacturing process ensuring 100% compatibility with all the software and peripherals made for each system.
The dimensions of the system are a little hefty (14″ x 10″ x 5″) and actually dwarf the original Xbox, but to be fair to the maker, he has put the power unit inside the console, because of his dislike for “bricks”, meaning that the system only requires a standard power inlet into the rear to power the whole unit, and features only one set of video outputs, which are controlled by the 4 system buttons on the front of the system, each of which is backlit with orange LED’s and is connected to a scart selector button inside, making the console switch from board to board, changing the output on the TV.
Apparently the hardest part of the whole project was relocating the cartridge slots to the top of the unit, which involved hours and hours of tedious soldering and wiring. Check out the video below of the actual unit working, which features the charismatic maker of the unit describing his amazing project – truly brilliant!!
