Simon Pegg Is A Drunken Scotsman

The latest edition to the Star Trek XI cast has been confirmed, and its Simon Pegg of Shaun of the Dead fame, unbelievably he will be playing Montgomery Scott in the upcoming blockbuster!!. Ive got to say that when I heard this I thought it was a wind up, but it is true.

Other cast members already confirmed are:
Zach Quinto (Sylar in Heroes) – Spock
Anton Yelchin (Alpha Dog) – Pavel Chekov
Eric Bana (Chopper, Troy) – Nero (The Movie’s Bad Guy)
Chris Pine (Smokin Aces, Just my Luck) – Captain T Kirk *Chris Pine is the actor JJ Abrams wants to play Kirk, but is commited elsewhere at the same time as filming begins on Star Trek*

Star Trek XI begins filming this November, for a December ‘08 release, written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (who also did the script for Transformers) Star Trek XI follows the story of all the Enterprise crew members throughout their academy training days, and with JJ Abrams at the helm this should be a brilliant addition to the Star Trek family.
