The chilling real-life phenomenon of spirit photography provides the inspiration for terrifying supernatural thriller Shutter, available on DVD from Monday 8th September from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Produced by the team behind The Grudge and The Ring, the film follows newly-weds Ben (Joshua Jackson, Dawson’s Creek Fringe, The Skulls) and Jane (Rachael Taylor, Transformers, Bottle Shock) as they embark on a working honeymoon with a paranormal twist.

In his English language debut, celebrated J-horror maestro Masayuki Ochiai (Infection, Hypnosis, Parasite Eve) plunges an un-suspecting American couple into a compelling and mysterious nightmare as they embark on a new life in his native Japan. After a tragic accident, a chilling, ghostly shadow begins to appear in their photos. Determined to expose Ben’s past, this mysterious spirit image will stop at nothing in her quest to reveal his dark and disturbing secrets. As they delve deeper into the word of spirit photography, Ben and Jane learn that the past can never truly be left behind.
