Sherlock Holmes

The first trailer of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes has finally been released, and it looks fantastic, Robert Downey Jr plays Sherlock, Jude Law plays Watson and Sherlocks love interest is played by the stunning Rachel McAdams.

Sherlock has certainly taken on some changes between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary tales and Guy Richie’s imagining as he appears more “unkempt” than previous versions becoming more suave and sexy.

Unsurprisingly Sherlock Holmes features many more action sequences than we would usually be expecting from the originals with Richie at the helm not to mention that the relationship between Holmes and Watson seems to have changed somewhat, in one scene we see Watson shouting at Holmes for borrowing his clothes.

Alongside the violence you will also notice a rich vein of comedy throughout as in one scene Holmes has to cover his modesty with a cushion as McAdams handcuffs him to a bed.

Many reviewers are hoping that a refreshed Guy Richie (after his split from Madonna) can return to his winning ways and really show what he can do with the classic stories.

Sherlock Holmes currently has two films in production, Guy Richie’s and another one that features Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) as the lead character, which is expected to be a complete comedy.
