Sacha Baron Cohen To Play Sherlock

It’s been done before – Robin Hood & Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Deep Impact & Armageddon, Volcano & Dante’s Peak, what am I talking about? movies that are released at similar times and feature the same subject matter, and that is what is happening with the new Sherlock Holmes movie that Guy Richie is directing – Colombia have just announced that they too will be releasing a comedy version of the ageing sleuth at pretty much the same time.

Sacha Baron Cohen is set to star as Sherlock Holmes, with Will Ferrell as his Watson and after seeing the comedy chemistry that the two stars had in Taladega nights, I really can’t wait to see the end results and because the rights to the “Sherlock Holmes” stories has fallen into the public domain, expect a rush of releases in all types of media!
