REVIEW: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
The first thing you notice about this game when you start to play it is the visuals… they are truly stunning, however it has to be said that the PS3 version looks quite poor when shown against its xbox 360 cousin. Captain Jack looks brilliant as do all the other characters, and the animations are clear and crisp
Pirates of the Caribbean, is essentially a linear fighting game with some minor platform elements ala prince of persia, and unfortunatly the fighting bits are very repetative: a group of baddies jump out, you hit a combination of buttons 2,3 or 4 times, they die….repeat, sometimes the correct combination of buttons brings about a cutscene finishing move but thats about it.
Unfortunatly Pirates fails to break the trend of poor movie to game transfers, the graphics will pull ANYONE in, they are truly that good, but unfortunatly you will find yourself trading it in at your local gaming emporium faster than you can say yo ho ho…… a real shame
Damn Thats Awesome Gives Pirates of the Caribbean 2 out of 5
