Petition Sega

The Sega Dreamcast was one of the finest consoles ever made, but a massive war with Sony meant that it met its demise sooner than it should have, but as history has shown us, wars sometimes bring massive advances in technology.
During the fight Sega really pushed out the boat with its software, developing games that are only now really being understood and copied, and some like seaman that will never truly be grasped, one of the finest games (if not THE finest) was Shenmue, a $70 million dollar epic created by Yu Suzuki, the game bombed in sales terms simply because of the cost of the title, and the high piracy rates on the machine, it was said that each Dreamcast owner would have had to buy Shenmue twice just for the company to break even on the title, but even with those woes Sega finally published Shenmue 2 towards the end of the Dreamcast’s life (and also on the original Xbox system).
Shenmue is a trilogy, and lots of gamers feel cheated that they never got to find out what happened in the game (myself included) well now a myspace user going by the alias of Ryu Hazuki (the games main character) is urging fans to do a mass “postal” mail to Sega’s HQ asking for the final part of the trilogy to be released, I really hope it does some good, but I don’t think we will ever get a decent ending to one of the best games ever conceived.
