Mariners Get DS
American baseball team the Seattle Mariners have struck an interesting deal with Nintendo, where the Japanese console manufacturer will implement its fan network at Safeco field.
This means that Nintendo DS enabled fans will be able to bring their units to the games and log in to the network wirelessly and retrieve player stats, team standings, scores from other MLB games, trivia, mini games and have the ability to chat to other fans in the stadium, better still they will be able to watch video feeds live and even order food and drinks to their seats via the touch screen – Awesome.
Nintendo has more improvements scheduled for the system, but are keeping them close to their chest at the moment.
