I’m Back
Well after a full two days of playing GTA I’m finally back and just about able to let you know what you have missed in the world of GTA since launch day
GTA IV is pretty much sold out in the UK, the store I work in sold out by about midday, and since then we have only had trickles of the games coming back into store as yet. In my store the PS3 version outsold the 360 version in terms of speed although the official figures indicate that the 360 outsold the ps3 version (only just), on early figures GTA is the fastest selling video game, and trounced San Andreas (the former winner), the sales figures for the 360 version alone smashed Halo 3, let alone with the ps3 version.
Problems: moments after the game went on sale users on both ps3 and 360 were complaining of lock ups so severe that their respective consoles had to be un plugged from the wall to get them to reset, another problem that I have personally experienced is in the mulitplayer, where I was shooting various players repeatedly but never killing them even though the shots were to the upper body/head. – with regard to the lockups I haven’t experienced the severe version as yet, but I have had 2 occurrences where the machine froze during a loading animation and I had to go back to the dashboard and restart the game (luckily I had just saved before thank god).
Overall even if GTA isnt your usual style of game, you need to get it just for the online play which blows you away. As I said I have had about 2 days of solid play, and havent got very far in the game (not because I suck, but because of the excellent online game)…get it bought!!
