HP Hot Sauces

HP, maker of the UK’s number one brown sauce, has launched a range of hot sauces to spice-up the nation’s mealtimes. HP Hot Sauces have been created to add some oomph to everyday dishes with their fiery combination of chillies and spices.
The range comes in three mouth-watering flavours to appeal to all tastes – whether you like it hot or hot, hot, hot!
• For those that are feeling really adventurous, the Seriously Hot Tabasco Chilli & Honey sauce is the hottest in the range. This scorcher is guaranteed to give your sausages and steaks some Oomph!
• If you’re after a medium hot number, Rather Hot Jalapeno & Lime sauce is what you’ve been looking for. This tangy treat will lift your chicken and prawns in a way that only HP knows how
• And for those who want a little more spice, but not too much, Slightly Hot Smokey Chilli sauce is right up your street. And, because it’s from HP, you know you’re in for a slightly spicy delight that’s brilliant on burgers and BBQs
Britain’s taste buds have certainly changed over the past 25-years, with a growing trend towards hotter, spicier foods – the result of us seeking the flavours we’ve sampled abroad. Alongside this, spicy dishes such as Curry have risen in popularity in the high street and on the nation’s tables. HP Hot Sauces have been specially developed to match these food and flavour trends, using HP’s trusted expertise to combine heat with real flavour.
“As a flavoursome icon of the British kitchen cupboard, it’s important that HP Sauce continues to develop to meet the UK’s changing tastes. In answer to this we worked with our chefs to create something really special – that combines quality brown sauces with a strong flavour.” – Sarah Brown HP
HP Hot Sauces will be available in stores from April with an RRP of £1.59.
What We Thought:
Not long after we got our samples of HP Hot Sauces we had a mini BBQ, with sausages, Burgers and Chicken and the sauces really enhanced the food, what’s more there seems to be a sauce for every pallet, people who love very hot food will be at home here, but people who aren’t too fond of hot food such as younger kids are still catered for as the Smokey Chilli Sauce has a little bite, but you hardly notice at all as the flavour is so strong and smokey, a perfect addition to any BBQ or kitchen cupboard.

Bought a bottle of HP seriously hot, and was very disappointed. Wasn’t that hot and had a sickly sweet flavour to it.
