Grey’s Anatomy “A Change Is Gonna Come” S04E01

Grey’s anatomy is back, in its fourth season – hard to believe huh?, Meredith, Cristina, Izzie and Alex are no longer interns, but actually have their own interns following each of them around, much like they followed Bailey.

Two of the interns are causing their residents problems, the first is George who after failing his exam is back under the control of Meredith and is trying to hide the fact from the other newbies that he is repeating his year and the second is Meredith’s half sister Lexie, who attempts to bond with her big sister, to no avail. The start of the show is really funny seeing the tables turned as they treat their new charges with little to no respect much as bailey did when she first took them on all that time ago.

Bailey is not amused about being passed over for chief Resident and tries to avoid the chief, who finally reassures her that he has bigger things intended for her, namely Surgeon, whilst the new chief resident “Callie” makes a bad job of her first day in her new role.

Izzie accuses George of ignoring her in the stairwell at work, but later George turns up at her house and professes his love for her – trouble on the horizon methinks.

Cristina finds out from Derek that Burke has handed in his resignation and will not be back (something we all knew anyway) I think the show will suffer badly from the loss of Burke and also losing Addison to the spin off show “Private Practice”, it certainly felt a lot weaker than the previous season, although the new blood in the form of the interns will hopefully bolster the show.
