Firefox Browser Aims For Record
Mozilla, the creators of Firefox the popular alternative to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser are launching version 3 today (June 17 2008), and are aiming to get into the Guiness book of records as the most downloaded software in a 24hr period.
The Firefox browser is much more safe and stable than Internet Explorer, and has taken approx 20% of Microsoft’s market share, which is no mean feat when you remember that EVERY computer sold with the Windows OS comes pre installed with Internet Explorer.
Version 3 of the software features 15,000 improvements on the previous version, and is much lighter on memory usage. I personally have been using the beta test version for some time, with my finger poised over the “report bug” button, but I have not been able to fault it, and I use my browser a hell of a lot – for a piece of software to be that robust at such an early point in its life is unheard of.
If you have never tried Firefox, or are a current Firefox user, head HERE to pledge your support, and by adding your email address, they will give you a shout when the new software is released and available to download.
Damnthatsawesome, and our complete network of sites are all optimised to work with the Firefox browser.
