Radiohead: Choke
August 15, 2008

Radiohead are one of my favourite bands, and it turns out Chuck Palahniuk is a massive fan too.
Chuck Palahniuk (if you don’t know) is the genius who brought us Fight Club, and now one of his other books “Choke” has been made into a film starring Sam Rockwell, now it turns out that he wrote the book whilst listening to Radiohead’s first album Pablo Honey and got the Oxford lads to contribute a song, but when Radiohead saw the movie they loved it so much they created a whole score of ambient music for the film.
Radiohead’s guitarist Johnny Greenwood is no stranger to soundtracks creating the music for Paul Thomas Andersons “There Will Be Blood”.
“Clark Gregg knew that I’d written Choke while listening to Pablo Honey, with Creep, over and over and over, So Clark got Radiohead to contribute a song; to write a song for the very end of the movie, the final credits. Radiohead liked it so much that they’ve written the score, most of the ambient music throughout it.” – Chuck Palahniuk
Choke is penned in for an October 2008 release.
