5ive Girls

5ive girls is the new movie by momentum pictures due to be released on 29th January 2007.

This film stars the fantastic Ron Pearlman (Famous mostly for his role in Hellboy) as the priest put in charge of reforming five wayward teenage girls who have been abandoned by their parents and sent to a reformatory in order to learn how to lead a pure and normal life. Little does he know that each girl posses a unique power to battle ‘Legion’ a legendary demon. With their lives in danger and faith tested to the max, the girls soon learn that some secrets should never get out.

Tagline: 5 girls vs. 2000 Demons… you do the math!

Fans of Ron Pearlman will thoroughly enjoy this movie. He plays the lead character Father Drake whose role is very important in the film as he is the one put in charge of reforming the five wayward teens.

The movie has some great special effects but I did find that the storyline often dropped pace at times, leaving you waiting for more action and suspense.
5ive Girls has a promising first sequence and some great special effects and with albeit a rather unknown supporting cast it has managed to reach a reasonably high standard of watch ability without leaving you cold and wanting more, as some lower budget movies often do!
