Even More On Lips

Lips – Microsoft’s answer to Sing Star is going to make a lot of karaoke fans happy this year, and some of the cool features from its Japanese developer “iNis” could sway non singing gamers to get up and give it their all in front of their TV’s.

When Lips was first revealed you would have been forgiven for thinking that it was nothing more than a Singstar clone, but as we already discussed the added feature of streaming your own music into the game from your IPod or Zune player has already made the game superior to its Sony cousin.

One cool feature confirmed is the “jump in co-op player“, simply get the other mic off the floor, shake it, and you’re in the game!

Certain songs in the game will be more focused on tone and pitch of voice, where others will be more interested in beat and timing, and each in game song will feature maximum replay ability with an innovative scoring system and six unlock able medals per track.

Details still haven’t been announced for exactly how the game will score you for songs stored on your mp3 player, but we are promised it will work brilliantly, and if you don’t have an mp3 player, the 40 tracks on the disc plus the inevitable DLC will keep you happy for ages!.
