Now that’s a depressing thought if ever I heard one….but why? Because I believe we haven’t won the contest for the best part of 12 years.

Though be not discouraged, and keep all hope because this year leading us to victory we have a very very beautiful piece of human art with a voice to match.
I don’t tend to extend my enthusiasm to such petty forms of entertainment, but when I see such talent graced with such angelic beauty; I can’t help but feel that little bit patriotic.

So I plee, on this night only – ditch Britains Got Talent and Simon Cowell’s far-from-normal hairline and serve your country in the only way you know how – by picking up the phone and voting.

That is my two-pence.
