Energizer Solar Charger

We have all become very dependent on portable gadgets such as iPod’s, cameras and mobile phones, but acquiring batteries for the items and charging them can be costly and a real pain whilst on the move. Now Energizer has come up with a solar recharger just in time for summer.

The charger uses the sun’s rays to recharge standard rechargeable AA and AAA batteries, and also features a USB out port enabling you to charge (some) mobile phones, sat navs, MP3 players and any other device that can be charged from a USB input, best still if the sun is playing hide and seek you can just plug the charger into an AC socket to recharge your devices.

The Energizer solar charger costs $50 (approx £34), and comes bundled with a pair of AA batteries to get you started.
