Dumped

The British person sends far too much waste to landfill, some of us are aware, some not, but a group of unlucky volunteers are going to face our landfill head on.

Channel 4 (UK) have rounded up eleven people for its newest TV project “Dumped” where they will be placed on one of Britain’s largest landfill sites and made to survive off only the stuff dumped there for three weeks. The contestants were invited to take part in a “testing Eco challenge”, and are probably expecting to be let loose in the Amazon, or the Arctic, little do they know they will be making a home from other people’s refuse.

Whether this will be a valid social argument, or just a glorified game show, time will tell, but it will be interesting to see what sort of quality of life the people can get from our dumped belongings, and if the results will make the contestants change their lifestyles
