Dr Who’s Millions
The BBC is desperate to retain David Tennant as everyone’s favourite time lord, so much so that they are throwing money at the Scottish Actor.
The Sun has alleged that the BBC (who is funded by UK Householders) is offering Tennant a cool £1.5 million pounds, to appear in the fifth season of the revamped show.
The Sun’s anonymous source said - “It will be a new team [behind the scenes] and David has to meet everyone to make a final decision. But we’re gearing up to offer him a massive deal. He’s interested. Everyone thought he was going, but it’s not as open and shut as that.”
Rumours had been floating around the interwebs saying that Robert Carlyle was in talks to become the next doctor, but if the BBC can sign Tennant by the autumn then he may return for much more than the 4 specials in 2009.
