Welcome back to the original sin city
Just like physical evidence, the ratings never lie! – CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is one of the most successful television shows on global screens, and Momentum Pictures is proud to present Season 6: Part 2 of this magnificent Emmy Award®-winning show. On June 4th 2007 join Vegas’ finest as they scrutinize and solve a selection of confounding crime scenes ranging from gang shootings to pseudo Nazi torture chambers.
Gil Grissom (William Petersen), grave-shift supervisor, heads the team of investigators at the Crime Lab in Las Vegas. The team includes Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), a hard- working single parent with a chequered past and a controversial father; Warrick Brown (Gary
Dourdan), a top analyst with insider knowledge of the gambling world; Nick Stokes (George Eads), a true-blue stand-up guy who empathizes with victims via his own experiences; Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox), a dedicated and inquisitive investigator who has more than a professional interest in Grissom; and Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda), the wacky tech- analyst-turned-field investigator. Their trials and triumphs have raked in a huge fan base over the years, and the CSI Franchise just keeps on growing, with two hugely successful spin-off shows, CSI: NY and CSI: Miami achieving spectacular ratings.
Following its launch in 2000, the show has become a worldwide phenomenon, and is now sold to over 200 territories. Quentin Tarantino, who was nominated for a directing Emmy Award® for the Series 5 finale, is a famous fan of the Franchise and, since the series’ launched over seven years ago, the number of students studying forensic science at colleges and universities around the world has soared.
With astute writing, intense portrayals and groundbreaking special effects, CSI has brought crime drama into a whole new calibre of excellence and is a heart-stopping, rip-roaring ride into the not-so-quiet world of forensic science.
The second instalment of the Season 6 DVD features a host of extras, including writers’ commentary, coroner’s reports and a ‘Gadgets & Gizmos’ section detailing the technical tools used in selected episodes.
