Organising a Stag Weekend
October 15, 2009

Here at Damn that’s Awesome we like to enrich your life with little pearls of wisdom that might be of some use out there in the big bad world. This week we’ve been taking a look into stag nights, how they are changing and how you can go about organising the perfect Stag Do!
Some blokes choose to celebrate their stag night by having a few pints down the local pub, others go the whole hog and organise Stag Weekends with their mates in tow! For the sporty guys who like to get active then there’s always the option of Ski Holidays of course!
Whilst women see their Hen Nights as competition and aim to out-do their friends by hosting the most lavish events, us men are much more into keeping things fun, easy and of course having beer on tap! It’s not about keeping up with the Joneses for us, it’s about having a laugh.
If you are thinking about organising the stag do to end ALL stag do’s then here’s our list of ‘Top Tips’ below to keep in mind.
1) How much time and effort can you put into planning? Is it easier to keep things simple and go for a few beers or do you think you and the lads deserve a weekend away?
2) Think about costs – How much can you afford to budget on your stag do?
3) What about work? If you are going on a weekend bender, can you afford to take time off work? Your wife might have something to say about you coming home to find yourself sacked!
4) Keep things fun, hassle free and make sure everyone is in the know. If plans change update the other guys or you could end up spending your stag do alone!
5) Delegate! – Your mates will all be happy to rally round a bit for you if it means they are getting a free holiday or a boozy night out on the town, find a few friends you can trust and delegate some arrangements to them.
However you go about organising your perfect stag do we hope you’ve got some helpful advice from this article!
