Blockbuster Game Pre Order Exclusives

Its no secret to anyone that Blockbuster is in lots of some financial trouble, with the increase in demand of online rentals, places like netflix and lovefilm are bitting into blockbusters piece of the pie quite heavilly, So what does any big business do who is struggling? They evolve

Blockbuster have been trying to get into the games market for some time, and it appears they may have a strategy to get pre-order exclusives on certain titles, that doesnt mean you wont be able to go to your local gaming emporium and pick up a copy, it just means that you wont be able to pre order from anywhere else but blockbuster. Whilst this is just a rumour at the moment it does sound quite realistic as Blockbuster have done similar things before with exclusive movie launches etc.

Personally the last game I pre ordered was the excellent Bioshock, but even then there were loads of copies knocking about on the shelves come launch day, while I think that the pre orders will help Blockbuster in some way I dont think games are the answer as manufacturers have gotten wise to running out of stock come launch day….consoles on the other hand….game on!
